Run or Dye: First race of the season in Minnesota

Run or Dye: The World’s Most Colorful Race

St. Paul, Mn April 26th

I’ve mentioned before that my first race of the season will be Run or Dye in St. Paul. I’m so excited to kick off the season with a fun run!

Seriously, I ran under a mile yesterday from our cabin to my aunt’s cabins and it was rough! My sporadic running of the winter did not quite help me magically be at the point I was last September… So, this race is a perfect way to get back into it in a fun run without the pressure of trying to perform up to the level I was at before winter.

I was so lucky to have been offered a free entry into the race – after I had already purchased a Groupon for two tickets! 🙂 I’ve wanted to do a color fun run since before I started running – it just looks like so much fun!

I love that it seems like such a fun event for the whole family! I really would like to take my kiddos in the stroller and let them run through the color. Unfortunately, that will have to wait until next year because I live a bit from St. Paul and will be staying in the cities and heading right to a wedding shower and bachelorette party. My 2yo is such a good little runner, so I will be sure to take him to the race next year! By then, my 1yo girl will be at a better age to join in the fun too!

Great news for fellow Minnesotans! (And nearby Wisconsinites too)

I have an awesome discount code for anyone who wants to attend the St. Paul Run or Dye on April 26th. At registration use the code RODSTPAULED5 for $5 off your entry fee! If you aren’t from Minnesota, be sure to check for a Run or Dye event in your area!

Have you done a color fun run before?

Did you bring your kiddos to the run or go with a group of friends?

Anyone have some fun pics or fun outfits you wore?

  1. Color runs are so much fun! You’re right they’re pretty non-competitive too. I ran the Color Me Rad in OKC last year and I’m registered to run again in May. When we went there were lots of walkers, kids and strollers. Have a great time!

    1. It will be such a perfect way to start the season! I wanted to bring my little guys, but it won’t work out, so hopefully next time!

  2. I just participated in a Run or Dye race in Sarasota a couple weeks ago! I am not a runner and this was my first 5k ever but it was a blast! It’s lots of fun even if you don’t run the whole thing. It took forever to get the color off, though, but worth it!

    1. There will be plenty more! I still need to meet up with a bunch of Mn bloggers I’ve met recently – I’ll let you know!
