Knowing myself, my limits, and staying true to my family…
I love hearing stories from other moms, especially those who are committed to living a healthy lifestyle and raising a healthy family. I’m very inspired by other moms and I love to hear how they stay committed to setting a healthy example for their little ones and raising a healthy family.
Today we’re hearing from Motivating Mom Tiffany.
I remember meeting Tiffany at the first Sweat Pink BlogFest at IDEA World. I had already followed her blog and social media and I found her so inspiring! In the years since, Tiffany has become a mom to an adorable little guy and she still manages to make health and fitness a priority.
If you’d like to be featured as a Motivating Mom, send a message to Exploring Domesticity on Facebook or email exploringdomesticity(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject, “Motivating Mommas.”
As a stay-at-home-mom, Beachbody is a great way to find support, socialization, and even some extra money for your family. Finding your tribe and getting excited about weight loss or fitness in general is such an amazing catalyst for a healthy lifestyle!
If you’re like me and resistant to feeling like you’re being pitched for a sale, you may have the same reservations about Beachbody that I had. I finally realized the benefits greatly outweighed that hang-up and joined Beachbody.
This is why it took me so long to make the decision and why I finally joined Beachbody.
Weight loss is hard. Throw in being a stay-at-home-mom without the benefit of having time go to the gym whenever you want, the income to afford the membership, or the ability to meet up with girlfriends and having a fun time at a class, and it can be a very hard and lonely battle. Weight loss for moms can be very hard.
I’ve lost a significant amount of weight before and the common denominator was always comunity support which helped make it fun. I talked about support for weight loss not too long ago. In anything you do, for me I’m specifically focused on weight loss and healthy living, community is key.
It took a lot to get me to take that first step and begin running while considerably overweight. I learned to love it, but I spent years with crazy ideas about things I should and shouldn’t do as one of the overweight runners out there.
Even as the weight started to come off, I was still hanging onto these overweight runner fears and ideas. Only recently did I identify them and realize how crazy they are.
So, overweight runners unite and let’s get rid of these crazy ideas!
Thanks to BeFit and Fit Approach, I’m super excited to have been given the opportunity to Jumpstart some healthy habits in 2016 and #BeFitAllYear. I’m even more excited to share the FREE 30-day workout calendar and videos with you, as well as give you a chance to win some of the BeFit goodies they’ve given me!
Confession: My 2016 health and weight loss goals have been off to a slow start. If I’m being completely honest, I’ve continued to gain weight after the holidays…
After losing 60lbs after my second child, I have really struggled to keep the scale going down. In the past year, I’ve added a part-time job to full-time staying home with the kids and the pressure has really decreased the amount of focus I’ve placed on my health. I’m feeling pretty discouraged lately…
I’m really feeling energized with this BeFit 30-Day Challenge. The best part is that the tools for the workouts are completely free! BeFit has put together an amazing series of videos, along with a workout calendar to help keep you on track.
I started this morning with the Dynamic Strength workout. It was fantastic! I woke up early, wandered through the dark to my office and got in a short and sweet strength training workout. Next to the tools being free, my favorite part is that these workouts are quick and effective – most are between 10-15 minutes. Toward the end of the 30 days, we’ll start to double up the workouts, but they still don’t take a huge chuck of time. Love that!
As a Sweat Pink Ambassador, I also got the chance to try out some of the great BeFit Nutritional Products. We have Chocolate Whey Protein, a PreWorkout, and Burn – a supplement to boost fat loss. I haven’t tried them yet, but I will keep you posted as I update you about my progress during the 30 days. For now, how about I open up the giveaway and give you a chance to win some for yourself!?
So, you know the workouts are free, short, and guided by a free calendar… So, who’s going to join me and #BeFitAllYear!?!
I’ve been so inspired with all the 100 Days videos I’ve seen lately. Since I’ve been majorly lacking in the motivations department, I’m going to jump on board with 100 kettlebell swings each day for 100 days.
When I shared my Wellness Wish in a Kohl’s Facebook group, I never dreamed I would receive a phone call telling me they were setting me up with a personal trainer three days a week for three months!
It was a complete dream!
Throughout December, January, and February I had an amazing time learning from a great trainer, staying committed to my fitness, and taking some time for myself 3 days a week. For the month of March we did one day a week.
I got a lot of comments on Instagram about how I was going to accomplish a No Spend Month.
Really, this is just an attempt to pay closer attention to my spending and take another look at where we can save as I was doing when I first started this blog – before working from home and running on less time to focus on it. I’m going to give it my best shot, be conscious of where my money goes, and pay attention to how much we have and what we can do with it.
