Motivating Mom Alyssa: Little activities add up!

I love that my girls are growing up watching and joining me in fun fitness activities.

I love hearing stories from other moms, especially those who are committed to living a healthy lifestyle and raising a healthy family. I’m very inspired by other moms and I love to hear how they stay committed to setting a healthy example for their little ones and raising a healthy family.

Today we’re hearing from Motivating Mom Alyssa

WOW Summit: Sneak Peek {WOW Summit Recap}

WOW Summit 2014 was AMAZING!

It was so much more than I was hoping for and I feel so fortunate to have had the chance to meet the wonderful people of Moms Meet, the inspirational and informative speakers, the fantastic sponsors, and all the other amazing moms!

If you’ve ever been to a conference, you can relate to the overwhelming desire to write about everything, and the inevitable blog absence that comes from not knowing where to start.

I figure I should just jump right in by at least giving you a bit of a teaser until I can wrap my head around it all.

First, there’s the Caribe Royale resort!

So gorgeous!

There was also a great little kids area with a small pool and playground.

There were so many amazing talks. I left full of information, excited about new-to-me products, and inspired!

WOW Summit 2014 schedule and Suja

Believe me, I have so much to say about it all, there will be WOW Summit Recaps for days. But it’s all completely interesting and amazing stuff! There might even be some freebies for ya!

Speaking of freebies, I left with two of the biggest, heaviest bags ever FULL of stuff!! I love it all! I can’t wait to try it all and share it with you!

I highly recommend WOW Summit for awesome information about raising healthy families, exposure to some of the best brands out there, and inspiration and sisterhood from being with other moms!

The exact location for next year hasn’t been decided. I’m rooting for Minnesota – they didn’t mention it as an option but I’ll try to make a strong case. Otherwise, I better start planning now to afford a flight out because I don’t want to miss it!

Keep checking back and I will start to share some of the things I learned and the brands and people I met!

“Bringing Up Healthy”

Have you heard about Heidi Powell’s new show? She’s taking the Extreme Weight Loss approach to slow, lasting changes over the course of a year to help mothers achieve their fitness goals and set a healthy example for their families, and is called “Bringing Up Healthy.”

Ok, not really…

But this did happen during the Extreme Weight Loss premier…

So why not?

I would tune in for a show focused on building healthy families. There would likely be a fantastic transformation as the Momma learns how to make health and fitness a priority instead of just an added item on their already full plate.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for over a year…

I’m making small steps and I’m proud that my kiddos will ask for fruits and veggies and to do do yoga or wear their running pants, but they also requested a dinner of Doritos and Skittles the other day… Womp womp… I take this as a reflection of Mom’s current behavior… along with some other influences, I don’t put all that on myself but it is a wake up call.

I also know there is more I can do for myself to get to the kind of fitness level I would like. The weight has been coming off, but I need to start working harder to tighten things up. This is where I’m really lost…

A show with moms losing the baby weight and getting a better body back would be such an inspiration! I’d love to learn what to do to help get rid of this tummy and the bat wing arms!

The best part of helping moms with young children is that they learn from us. What better time to change ourselves for the better than when impressionable little ones are watching our every move!?

And, c’mon, how flippin’ adorable is it to watch them do things like this on their own???

Ok ABC… I handed you this gem on a silver platter. Appeal to the desire of moms to do all they can to raise healthy, happy kiddos and be the role model to teach them the healthy habits.

And Heidi… when ABC begs you to do this show, the kiddos and I can meet you in Arizona! My almost 3yo and Cash seem like they’d be a riot together! And we can work on tackling potty training without edible reinforcement! 🙂  Sound like a plan???

What do you think?

What else can we add in our pitch for a show for us healthy mommas?
