Holy Cow! Have 6 months really come and gone??!
Now is a great time to check back with my 2014 goals.
There haven’t been many goals checked off the list since the first quarter.
In fact, there has been one…
Fitness Goals
After one year of running, I finally completed my first 5K distance without stopping! The best part about that is it has upped my standard for the length of my runs. I used to convince myself to stop after two miles and I now push for three. Also, I’ve gotten comfortable with walking and no longer feel like I’m not a runner unless I run the whole thing – not an easy hurdle to get past… The best part? I’m faster now! I consistently ran about a 14min mile and I’ve been hitting a 12 minute now that I’ve added walking!
Business Goals
I had big hopes to have some business goals crossed off the list by now, but I’ve been making some slow progress.
I want to start a new site, so a lot of goals revolve around that… I will need contributors because I am in no way an expert! In fact, I’m developing the site to be a place people like myself would go to for workouts, recipes, fun, and community. I did create a form so anyone interested in contributing could “apply.” So, if anyone is interest, here is the contributor form. I’m still pushing to have things going next month…
Family Goals
The kiddos are doing so well! We’ve fine tuned all the sleeping routines from naps, to earlier bedtimes, to nixing bottles, to even sleeping at the cabin! We’re making so e progress on the potty training too, so all is well! This one fills me with so much happiness, I can’t even write it without warm fuzzies.
Did you make goals for 2014? Have you been checking in with your goals?
Can’t wait to see the new site! Good things come with patience 🙂

Thanks Sarah! I added some things to my plate, but I really have to get that one going!
I have to say I am not doing too well with most of my goals. But it’s also been a tough year so far too. One thing I really need to get done soon is my blog rebranding and my newsletter. I need to just sit down and focus. I have a new logo and a new headshot…it’s just a matter of getting it all on there. 🙂 Good for you on the 5k without stopping. I am a runner too…have been for 30 years. 🙂 I ran competitively in college but now its just for fun. I’m really don’t care how fast or slow I run…it’s just getting out there and doing it that is important. 🙂

Some of those longer-term goals are just hard to get started with. I had hoped to have started with my new website by the summer, but it’s overwhelming and those things are harder to start. I am a slooooowww runner, but I enjoy it. I love that I get out there and do it too, but I am hoping to improve my speed a bit so I can get more miles in and not take so long! :). Thanks so much for stopping by, Michelle!
Oh man, I have so many goals I fell behind on after I had my now eight-month-old. I am right there with you! BTW I don’t see a link for the form you mention, although that could possibly be a result of me still adjusting to using a tablet, lol. I love what you’ve done with your blog, even your photography has improved and you’ve been doing well with that!

Oh thank you! I must have never attached the form! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1CogYemO4yPUU5GAgUEX9PJTz-2v8yGmLzTnArXnsPP0/viewform?c=0&w=1&usp=mail_form_link. I’ll get in there and do that.
Thanks so much for the support! I’ve been trying to focus on my photography – even if it is still with a camera from my phone! I’ve been working to improve my skills, but the blog has been suffering on content as I devote my time to other things right now.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
