My number one motivation for living a healthy lifestyle is my kids and being a fun mom.
The other day, when I was telling the kids I couldn’t play with them until after my workout, I realized things were a bit backwards. Making healthy changes shouldn’t get in the way of my number one goal.

Fun! Never too old for the playground!
I always play at the park with my kids. The zip line park is the best.

Oh fun!
These are such fun ideas! My daughter is only 4 months old but I can’t wait to do all these activities with her.
My favorite way to stay active with my kids is roller blading.
So fun! I haven’t done that in forever! Just today I saw someone and remembered how fun it was
I love this post! My mom played and was really active with me growing up. I’ve been trying to do the same. Thanks for the reminder.

That’s so great! This was really my reminder to myself. We get so busy at times we forget that we can get our workout in naturally while playing with the kids
So true! Great ideas!

Thanks Renee!
I love this list! I already naturally do so many with my kids. It is fun to see what I can show/teach them and what they can show/teach me. My oldest three recently took an interest in geocaching and that has been fun.
How great! I made this list so I would have more ideas and be inspired to do more with them and keep my priorities straight
How fun! I would love to do a bunch of those!!

I need to do more of them!
Great ideas! My kids love to crab walk, ha. They will race each other sometimes, it’s a fun way to just get them up and about between homework or reading sessions

Isn’t crab walking the best!? Pretty sure I won a first place ribbon in crab walk on field day 🙂
Awww this is heartwarming! My baby is 14 months and it’s hard to sort of be a child with her but I so look forward to the time when we can be. She just started walking so I see slides in our near future!

Aww! You’re just reaching the really active times – the two of you will have so much fun!
I love this. I just had baby number four and PACKED on the weight. What you describe here is my number 1 motivation to get back in shape. I want to RUN, PLAY, SKIP with my kids without getting out of breath after five seconds. Great list!

Aren’t they!? We make a scavenger hunt out of clean up time too
I never looked at things this way and I have no idea why. I tell my kids in a minute, later, etc. Not realizing this is a great way to get in both bonding and Mom’s necessary exercise. I will do more with them outside even if I’m allergic to everything out there.

Isn’t that the truth!? I was realizing I was going about it all wrong – more games of tag is better than leaving them for a jog!
Our favorite is the hula hoop. I started making them a while ago and we have a size for everyone. A huge inventory.
