Elderberry Gummies
We were inspired to create our berry bubble wrap painting by the elderberry gummies we take every day.
Last year, I asked for advice from other moms about keeping kids and families healthy and, by far, the most offered suggestion was elderberry. Elderberry is pretty amazing for you and your immune system.
In the time since then, we have tried 3 different brands of elderberry gummies. You can find one here and one here. The kids love them because, let’s face it, gummies are delicious. They always ask to take their vitamins each day.
Norm’s Farms ElderKids Organic Elderberry Gummies
Most recently, we were introduced to Norm’s Farms ElderKids Organic Elderberry Gummies through Moms Meet.
They a full of fantastic, organic ingredients and made with black elderberry superfruit. They are USDA Organic, Non-GMO, vegan, gluten free, and are TRU-ID tested. Norm’s Farms also gives back to Love One International, a nonprofit dedicated to providing life-saving medical treatment for children in Uganda.
You gotta love that!

Did the kids love them? Not really… The flavor tastes good to me. However, the kids have also recently been taking another elderberry gummy and they prefer the flavor of that one over this new one. If it weren’t for this comparison to a sweeter, almost more raspberry flavor gummy, I know they would like this one just fine. My husband and I like the adult gummies just fine.
The thing is, even though this isn’t their favorite flavor of the elderberry gummies they have tried, both kiddos take this gummy each morning without a problem. If we didn’t still have a few of our previous gummies left, I probably wouldn’t even know which one they prefer.
No matter what, this is a great product and so fantastic for their health. I feel really great every time I give them their Norm’s Farms ElderKids Organic Elderberry Gummies, especially this time of year!

Berry Bubble Wrap Painting
As I mentioned, these elderberry gummies were the inspiration for our berry bubble wrap painting. It’s just so darn cute and easy!
All you need is some paper – we use cardstock or construction paper, some paint – we use acrylic, bubble wrap, and markers (or more paint).
You will also need scissors to cut the bubble wrap. However, it’s actually surprisingly difficult to cut with scissors. I absolutely recommend a craft knife or rotary cutter and cutting mat. Although, you can definitely get it cut with regular scissors.
Elderberry Bubble Wrap Painting
For the elderberry art, cut out a small oval of bubble wrap. The bubble wrap painting will look best if you clean up the partial bubbles that you cut around the edges.
Next, paint the bubble side of the bubble wrap with a combination of red, purple, and black. Using the three colors, instead of mixing them, helps add more dimension to the color.
Find your place on your paper or cardstock and stamp the color onto the paper. Without pressing too hard, make sure that all the color transfers.
Once the paint has dried, you can use a marker or more paint to create the stem. For elderberries, the stems all come down to one to form a cluster.

Strawberry Bubble Wrap Painting
This kind of bubble wrap painting works great for any berry. My daughter chose to make a strawberry bubble wrap painting.
For the strawberry, you will cut the bubble wrap in a different shape – round at the top and more pointed toward the bottom.
Paint the bubble wrap red and repeat the process as with the elderberry bubble wrap painting. Instead of the stems, use green paint or marker to make the single stem and leaves.
These are so much fun to create. If you can resist popping the bubble wrap, you can make any kind of berry bubble wrap paintings. The kids and I already talked about blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, or holly.
