Have I told you guys how much I like trying new products?!

I am so new to this healthy lifestyle and fitness thing and there is SO much to learn! That is why I love trying new (to me) products. I am learning about new ways to improve my healthy lifestyle and how to be more efficient as I try to soak up all the new information and products available to me.

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review Cocogo, a great drink mix to help you hydrate and replenish electrolytes with real fruit and coconut water.

Here is Cocogo in a nutshell:

Cocogo is a new premium sports drink made with real fruit and coconut water in stick pack. It is the best tasting, best performance sports drink. It tastes better because it’s all-natural and isn’t overly sweet. Not only do people prefer the taste, they credit Cocogo for steady energy, no muscle cramps, being easy on the stomach, and preventing “the bonk.” And when you compare Cocogo to other sports drinks, you’ll see the proof (see attached): Cocogo offers the best balance of electrolytes, contains an ideal blend of sugars, and has seven essential vitamins.

My first impression was that the packaging was adorable. I love the bright colors and the crisp look! I read the package and it was recommended to add one packet to every 4oz of water. I thought that was a little strange since I never drink just 4oz of water, but they are also intended to be customizable depending on your taste so I guess that is why they are packaged as they are. The developer of Cocogo told me that most adults tend to prefer three packets per water bottle, while kids tend to prefer four.

Raspberry Passion Fruit

The first flavor I tried was Raspberry Passion Fruit – I mean, doesn’t that sound great!?! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Even my 2yo said, “it’s belicious!”  I loved it!  It mixes and dissolves so nicely, there is no gritty feel or taste.  The flavor is excellent – not too sweet, but plenty strong with 4oz of water to one packet.

I tried this one at home after a run and it quenched my thirst and kept my energy up instead of crashing.

Lemon-Lime

I tried the Lemon-Lime flavor during nap time after a hectic morning. Things were so busy I don’t think I had a sip of my water. When things finally settled down, I got a chance to sit down with my Cocogo.

This flavor is delicious too! It’s not too sweet and not too tart. I loved it. I never drink juice, so this was a little nap time treat for my taste buds.

Grape

I saved the grape packet for last. Since I was a little child, grape has never been my favorite flavor. I can hardly remember the last time I tried grape-flavored anything. Grape is always too sugary-sweet for me and just not a fave.

I mixed this one up with the intention of giving it a try and passing it off to my kiddo as a treat. I gotta tell ya, I took more than one taste of this one. It was pretty great! I’m still not much of a grape person, and I did pass half of it off to my 2yo, but I could have easily drank the entire thing.

The Verdict

I am so impressed with this product! The flavors are amazing! The creator of Cocogo told me his two young sons were his chief taste-testers, so it’s no wonder they taste so good.  I can’t wait to try these in the summer after a run!  I didn’t put them to the full test, but the Cocogo website is full of great reviews from some amazing athletes – so stop by and take a look at what they have to say about Cocogo!

[this post has been a bit delayed because we had the flu hit our house pretty hard. I actually gave some grape Cocogo to my son to help rehydrate him and get him feeling better. It was so great to have something I felt good giving him, and the flavor made him more likely to drink it than the plain water I was pushing.]
