Oh my goodness, you guys! It feels like it has been forever.
We’re wrapping up summer and currently at the cabin for one last week away. Once we get back, it’s straight into back-to-school appointments and starting back at school for the first time in a year and a half.
What a whirlwind summer always is! This year, it seemed to fly by even faster. I think part of that has been the focus on what will be happening with the new school year. I think we all had hoped to be in a better place by now… but here we are.
With the kids going back to in-person learning, this Mom is nervous!
I think we all have taken a closer look at our health over the last year and a half. I’ve been doing all I can think of to keep the kiddos healthy, and that includes upping our vitamins.
A new way to take your vitamins
This couldn’t have come at a better time!
We were just introduced to Vitapod, a system of providing more complete daily nutrition and hydration.
We all know, I’m all about hydration! This is a fun way to drink your water and drink your vitamins!
The “pod” in Vitapod comes from these fantastic little pods full of delicious drink mixes that have been carefully formulated by pioneers in the field of health science for optimal nutrition and hydration. The Vitapod Machine
One of the coolest things about all of this is this fantastic machine that will filter and cool your water, while mixing up your drink perfectly.
It’s really fun to watch!
I’m tempted to take a video each time I mix up a drink because it’s so much fun! The Vitapod Machine holds water in the back and it is filtered as it makes your drink. All you have to do is choose your pod – full of vitamins, minerals, and plant-antioxidants – and place it in the top of the machine. Then, close the door and press the button.
You’ll first see the powder from the pod dispense into the mixing chamber and the blades will start mixing it with the water. No clumps or stirring involved! Then, it will dispense the beverage into the cup and dispense and mix more water in the chamber, which makes it very easy to clean with just a wet cloth. The machine will finish your drink with the amount of water needed for the size of your cup and you’re ready to drink your vitamins!
The Pods
There are different types of pods depending on what you’re looking for. We have a lot of the HYDRA flavors for hydration, but we’ve also tried the Lemon Infused Iced Tea which is really delicious as well! In addition to hydration and iced tea, there are pods and different flavors for immunity, beauty, sports, or energy.
Flavors
We have really loved all the flavors we have tried. In fact, I’m drinking a Blueberry Pomegranate right now. My son liked the Cotton Candy flavor – no surprise! We also really like Pineapple Coconut – it tastes so tropical you can pretend you’re at the beach. The watermelon also has a fresh flavor. They’re all really delicious flavors – not too sweet (and you can always add ice, which I do!) and not salty like some hydration products.
It’s pretty amazing to drink your vitamins and have them taste so good.

Sustainability
Another thing I like about these pods is that they are committed to sustainability. Each pod contains 90% less than one single-use plastic bottle and transforms your own tap water into a delicious flavored beverage full of vitamins. Best of all, they include a bag to collect your pods and send in for recycling.
The science
Right off the bat, I love that these pods contain no artificial flavors or sweeteners, zero sugar, and low sodium.
The pods provide quick access to vitamins like Vitamin A, C, D, and E, minerals like potassium, magnesium, calcium, and polyphenols.
Flavonoids are antioxidants developed in plants over millions of years for two main reasons – to protect them from UV radiation and viruses. The average American only gets a 10th of what they need and these will do the trick to catch you up.
The Verdict from the Family
First off, the Vitapod machine was such a hit. It’s really fun to watch the whole process. It is definitely viral video-worthy and mesmerizing to see the drink mix with the water in the chamber. The drinks come in a variety of colors, so it’s pretty every time. Well… the brown tea not as much…
So, being that it comes from a space-age looking machine and mixes right in front of you, it’s exciting for the kids. Plus, they don’t even have to know they’re going to drink their vitamins. They will just think they get a new drink.
We’ve been really impressed with the flavors. They are all very tasty, so they got it down. My son actually asks to mix a new one up all the time. Especially after some serious playing outside. He loves it!
