Hello, my name is Kristin, and I’m not a coffee drinker. *gasp!*
I know very few others who are not, and, of all those coffee drinkers, nearly all of them have a Keurig machine to brew their coffee. Not only that, they’re pretty in love with it.
Even without being a coffee drinker, I’ve checked out the K-cup prices. Whew! I see why it’s such a big deal when people find a great sale.
My dad has one of the refill cups for his Keurig. He’s also a pretty handy guy and came up with a great solution for filling the cup!
Instead of juggling the cup, the container or bag of coffee, and the spoon to fill the cup, he now has a little helper!
How genius! And, c’mon that little stand for the cup is pretty adorable!
He cut a block of wood into a 2 1/2 x 4 inch rectangle, drilled a 1 3/4 inch diameter hole, and placed it on four legs standing 2 1/4 inches high.
That’s it! How great!?
Do you have a Keurig? Do you exclusively buy the cups or do you own the refillable cup?
Great idea! We do both…we buy when we get a great price and we fill our own the rest of the time. Have a great weekend. Blessings, D@TheShadyPorch
That’s exactly what I would do – I would search out sales when I could and refill the rest. Thanks so much for checking it out!
What a neat idea. Those refills can get awkward and messy. We have a Keurig in my office that we mostly refill on our own. I don’t think I would have one at home, because I would have to make several cups to get my usual fill of daily coffee. It makes more sense for me to brew a half pot in a traditional coffee maker.

My dad usually brews two cups from one k-cup, but it would probably be a bit inconvenient for more cups than that. Thanks so much for stopping by, Raki!
WOW! This is a really cool idea! I know several people who could benefit from something like this! Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you! I can imagine juggling everything to refill the cup could be a little challenging! Plus, this just looks so darn cute too!
I don’t like coffee either.
I am a coffee drinker on occasion, but I usually go out to buy a cup of coffee since I have a standard coffee maker, and usually when I brew a pot of coffee, I’ll have 1, maybe 2 cups and then the rest goes to waste. A Keurig might just convince me to drink more coffee.

It seems so convenient! My husband has a single brew pot that brews right in a to-go mug and that works fine for us too! Thanks so much for checking it out!
great idea!
My roommate and I are both coffee drinkers, we had a regular coffee maker till 2 Christmas’s ago when my mom gave us a Keurig. It works out great for us, I prefer a lighter blend and she likes hers strong, we use the K-cup refill’s most of the time. I love that I can switch to tea without having to waste coffee. I am a huge bargain shopper and always stock up on the Starbucks flavors when they are on sale, those are my roommate’s fave’s! Mom enjoys the hot chocolate and the different teas also.
I will drink the hot chocolate when I am at our cabin – yum! My dad actually always uses his cup through two brews – it gives him that good jolt first and is a little less strong the second time through.
That is so clever. i just got a Keurig 2 weeks ago. And I got the My K cup too. This would be handy. 🙂
