I’ve recently become a little obsessed with CrossFit. I’ve become so interested in anyone who is into CrossFit and I love the idea of doing functional exercises and building strength. And, c’mon, they look like badasses doing it! It’s a little intimidating to go from occasional exercise with no one really pushing you but yourself to a CrossFit class. I was lucky enough to have Melissa, from A Fit and Spicy Life, join me for a free introductory class at Lift Bridge CrossFit. I walked in excited, but more than a little nervous. The “Booty Camp” class, which is supposed to be a bit of an easier class the the typical CrossFit class, was just finishing up and everyone looked completely exhausted! It definitely made me nervous for our class! I loved learning about the structure of the CrossFit classes. They start with a warm up, which tested our balance right from the start and was a little challenging. Then we moved into our WOD (workout of the day), which included Wall Balls, Box Jumps, and Burpees. We did a certain number of each and cycled through until the 11 minutes were up. I totally had a moment mid-Burpee when I thought to myself, “I may not be ready for this.” And then it was over. My next thought: “that was awesome and I can’t wait to do it again!” The classes are a bit pricey and a little much for this Momma, but there is a Groupon for $79 for two months of classes, which is making me consider it. I really loved the feeling of being pushed harder than I am able to do for myself at home. The class was small enough that the coach encouraged us by name, which was an incredible feeling. It really got me moving when I may have slowed down at home. I was on such a high afterward, so it is definitely something I look forward to doing again. To top off a great morning, Melissa and I tried out Squeeze It Juice Bar. It’s such a cute little place, and has so many choices I need to go back again soon!
Have you tried a new workout recently? Let me know! I love learning about new things to try!
Any other CrossFit obsessed out there??
I’ve always wanted to try CrossFit but it’s so expensive!
There was a free class being offered at my local box a couple months back but it was wayyy to early for a Saturday morning so I didn’t go lol 😳

It was really fun! I hope I get up the motivation to pay and sign up before the $79 for 2 months is up! :/
You should definitely do it; I’m sure that deal doesn’t come around too often!
