We had such a great time at The Color Run last weekend!
Thanks to Kohl’s, I got to invite my bestie to run The Color Run with me. They also sent us some sweet, colorful Fitbits to track our steps.
My posts may be a little spotty over the next couple weeks. The summer is already flying by and I’m determined to make the most of it!
We are at the cabin now, enjoying the lake, sun, fishing, and swimming.
We’ll be heading home for an “I Do BBQ” wedding shower on the second. I’m in charge of the invites, games, and decorations. I may have to share a couple of them with you later on. As long as I get a chance to take photos – we’ll be on a pretty tight schedule.
We’ll be home for the fourth and I’m anxious to get Hubby to do the flooring in the camper, so we can try it out before our weekend in Grantsburg for Watercross. I want a test-run to decide what essentials we need to equip the camper with, so we may be doing an overnight trip in my parents’ backyard.
Speaking of the camper, I think I need to name her. I know she’s a SHE, and since she’s also a Viking and a bit of a beast, I think we should go that route. Any suggestions?
The weekend following the fourth, I’m so excited to run another fun run. This time I’m running The Color run with my bestie and the kids thanks to Kohls. They gave us some adorable pink Fitbits and #YesMoment t-shirts to run in style. I’m loving my fitbit, but have yet to figure out all it does or add friends. I’m under my exploringdomesticity(at)gmail(dot)com address if that helps anyone find me.
I also have the Better Together game ending this week. This game has been amazing and I’m so happy with how the group has supported and encouraged one another! I’m thinking there will be a new one starting July 14th and I’m so excited about it! Wish me luck this week!
When I shared my Wellness Wish in a Kohl’s Facebook group, I never dreamed I would receive a phone call telling me they were setting me up with a personal trainer three days a week for three months!
Throughout December, January, and February I had an amazing time learning from a great trainer, staying committed to my fitness, and taking some time for myself 3 days a week. For the month of March we did one day a week.
And then it stopped…
If you could wish for anything to help you on your health and wellness journey or help you keep up your healthy habits, what would it be?
...and how ecstatic, blessed, touched, etc. would you be if someone granted that wish?
I feel like we’ve been running a race since Halloween! We left for Florida the first week of November, I attending a conference in Orlando, we spent a couple weeks helping out my grandparents with a remodel in another part of Florida, returned home on Thanksgiving Day, started the whirlwind of Christmas prep and shopping, had Kohls grant my wellness wish (details coming this week, I promise!) and film the family, hosted Christmas with my husband’s family, and completed all the Christmas festivities with my family and ended with a weekend at the cabin.
Wow! Now wonder!
I do have to give myself a bit of a pat on the back, though. After the craziness of November and the first week or two of December, I did finally remember to take care of myself around Christmas and this past weekend. Here are some things that helped me survive and some that I would like to continue to remember in the New Year.
Actually, it goes back about two weeks ago…
As I started the Health and Fitness Holiday Giveaway Hop, I felt behind because we had just gotten back from 3 weeks away and I didn’t have all my giveaway items in line as the holiday weekend hit. I sent out emails to all the amazing companies from WOW Summit and was completely overwhelmed by their generosity!! I ended up with prizes so amazing it seemed like I could have done 5 seperate giveaways and still have them be awesome! Then came the hard part, keeping up with the reviews that I wanted to go with the prizes to thank the amazing folks who were so generous as to offer amazing prizes for you!
