A better week for my weight loss, a not so good week for sick little ones

February 13, 2015

It’s Friday!

Is anyone superstitious?  Don’t check the date! As the only ones with very little kiddos, we’re missing out on a great weekend at the cabin with 13 (bum bum bum…) family members.

We did have a fantastic time up there last weekend.  My eating was horrible.  That place is full of sweets, treats, and amazing meals.  We did, however stay pretty active.

Snowmobiling family

We spent Friday afternoon on the snowmobiles, which definitely uses some more muscle than you’d think.  We did the same thing Saturday morning.  I had planned to get in a workout during the kiddos’ nap, but they slept in the Snowcoach and I just didn’t want to lock myself in my room and workout by myself.

Instead, I did a lot of sweet talking and got my husband to help me bundle up the kiddos and take a walk on the lake for a mile trek through the snow while I pulled one or two kiddos in the sled or carried the Little Lady.  It was a great workout!

Active family

It is pretty great to do something as a family that can double as my workout!

This week, I have gotten my eating back on track and it feels pretty effortless again.  I’m so happy to not have the struggle I did the week before!  I’ve also had some fantastic workouts with Addie, done some Gigabody videos for a little fun, shoveled, and spent some time on the elliptical while I watched the kiddos play.

The poor kiddos…

My little guy came down with a pretty bad cold Monday night and has been struggling to get back to normal, and it looks like the little lady may be following.

Thank goodness we were offered the chance to review the Vicks CoolMist Mini Humidifier from Influenster a couple weeks back and it has been a lifesaver!  It even comes with a Vicks vapor pad, which just sounds awesome when you’re sick.

I’ve also been using some of the great products I found at the Moms Meet WOW Summit from Maty’s.  I love that they are made from natural ingredients that I recognize.  I feel great giving my kiddos the cough syrup and chest rub.

I really hope these little ones feel better soon!

What do you do for your sick kiddos?

How was your week?
