There are so many days devoted to silly things these days, but there are two I fully stand behind: Talk Like A Pirate Day and Chocolate Covered Anything Day. I’m not much of a pirate-talker, but I do look forward to the day when I come across the person who totally embraces this!  Am I right, Matey?

Chocolate Covered Anything Day is one day I can totally get behind!

So, a big thanks to the folks at Balance Bar for letting me know when important days like this are upon us! I sure as heck wouldn’t want to miss out!  They sent me a little something to get my chocolate fix and they’re sending a huge pack to one of you as well!

Since I was given this wonderful blessing of a personal trainer, I’m trying to figure out how to satisfy my cravings in a better way. Balance Bars are a great way to do this. They boast 14g of protein and a great balance of carbs, protein, and fat. I’m trying to pay attention to that little pie chart on MyFitnessPal, so seeing those numbers line up always makes me really happy – more on that later, because I’m still trying to figure it out…   I will admit that the amazing and delicious Chocolate Mint a Cookie Crunch Balance Bar – that you can win below – is a bit high in the sugar, but it is still a much better alternative to the girl scout cookie it reminds me of or a candy bar.
