Hey ladies! I just learned about National Women’s Health & Fitness Day and I have to spread the news!
On September 30th, more than 500 community groups all across the country will host women’s health and fitness events to celebrate National Women’s Health & Fitness Day. An estimated 50,000-75,000 women will be participating in the events that include health fairs, fitness walks, health information workshops and exercise demonstrations. It’s a great opportunity to take a minute from busy work and personal schedules and focus on your health & wellbeing.
So great, right? I’m having a little trouble finding anything in my area, and had I known about this sooner I would have tried to get something together!
Maybe there are some events in your town! Regardless, it’s a great day to think about women’s health issues and see if you are taking care of yourself.
As a woman, with a family history if osteoporosis, calcium is one of my health concerns.
I’m a big milk drinker, I like cheese but I try to limit it so I don’t to crazy, and I know there are days when I don’t get enough. When we don’t get enough calcium, our bodies take it from our bones and our bodies cannot produce more. So, it is so important to get calcium through food and/or supplements each day.
Women 19-51 should consume 1,000 mg of calcium daily. To give you an idea, here are a few common sources of calcium and how they measure up.
I have a great – and delicious – way for you to make sure you are keeping those bones healthy and getting enough calcium and vitamin D. In case you’re wondering why calcium and vitamin D go hand-in-hand, we need vitamin D to absorb calcium, so both are important.
In honor of National Women’s Health & Fitness Day, Adora Calcium Supplements wants you to remember that you can help protect your bone health by ensuring you’re getting your daily calcium and vitamin D requirements.
Adora calcium supplements are made with only organic milk and dark chocolate and provide 100% of your daily calcium recommendation! Plus, Adora now has double the vitamin D3 for enhanced calcium absorption!
Made by a chocolatier with over 130 years of experience, Adora will have you craving your calcium. Plus each serving is only 30 calories and has no GMOs.
They sent me a bag of the delicious milk chocolate supplements to try and they are generous enough to give one of you one as well! You’ll love them! Enter below!! US Only

A few issues that would interest me would be fitness for middle aged women and nutrition issues.
I think someone already said it, but I agree….I would like to see more features about keeping yourself on track during the worst time of the year- winter …or hibernation time, as some know it!….I really have worked hard on getting myself in shape this year and I really hate to think that I will let the winter weather coming up get the best of my former bad habits!
