My Day Friday Accountability Check In: Week 6

June 27, 2015

So, I skipped last week… Did anyone notice? There were just too many factors, too many things going on, and I didn’t think it was worth the stress of discussing it all when I hoped for a better week. I actually think I was down a pound from the week before, but that didn’t matter too much. I just needed to take a day off. I’m back at it after a crazy week, so I’m a little nervous to see what that means with the scale. Here goes nothing! my day friday accountability check-in: week 6 To be honest, I don’t even remember my previous goals. I know I was working on drinking more water as usual and I’ve logged in to MyFitnessPal for a couple month straight, but I haven’t logged every bite and I’ve struggled with late night snacking and giving into temptation. We had a birthday party for my new 4 year old – I can’t believe it! He had his first little party with friends and we did a camping theme. We had a make-your-own trail mix, bug catching, roasting hot dogs, squirt guns, etc. It was so much fun and the kiddos were so darn cute! 4 year old birthday party cake Along with the party came all sorts of goodies and a huge, delicious cake. I’m pretty proud of my restraint that day, but the days leading up to it, with all the temptation in the house, did not go well. I know I’m up from a few weeks ago, but hopefully I’m down from the last weigh-in. My Day Friday Accountability Check In: Week 6 Down 0.9 is still down, I need to keep reminding myself of that. With the yo-yo-ing, I’m only down a total of three pounds in the last six weeks and that’s something to get a little bummed out about… Instead, I choose to use it as motivation to get my tush in gear. I have four days left of my Better Together DietBet and I’m determined not to let the group or myself down!

My goals for the week:

  1. Stay strong at the cabin. This is a trigger situation for me – there are all sorts of yummy foods and candy jars, and it can be pretty hard…
  2. I came prepared with all sorts of fruits and veggies – cucumber, carrots, celery, cauliflower broccoli, mango, nectarines, apples, avocados, lettuce, spinach, etc – and I’m determined to keep my snacking healthy!
  3. C25K all week! I love running up here! My plans is to get out for a run each day. I had a fantastic run today – the music was right, I was in the zone, and I danced and skipped my way through my cool down.

Here’s to a great week!

  1. I hear you! I was traveling for the first three weeks of June and I gained about 7 lbs. I am at a loss of how to get rid of them because I am working out a LOT and I feel like I’m eating ok (not great, but better than every meal out for three weeks).

I guess I might try no alcohol for a little while. That’s hard though because I just moved to Oregon and every other day it seems people just hang out and drink beer.

I’m training for a Spartan obstacle race in July – hopefully I see some change between now and then!
