Baby Box: Way Better than a Baby Book!

February 14, 2019

A Baby Box is the busy mom’s solution to a baby book! As a mom with two incomplete baby books, I can tell you you’ll save many more memories with a Baby Box! They are easy to create, easy to collect, and so fun to revisit!

Why You'll Use a Baby Box More than a Baby Book

I’ll admit it, I am a baby book failure.

Oh, I wish I had kept up with recording all those little moments. With perfect penmanship, expert scrapbooking skills, and finished off with the sweetest baby photos of each milestone…

Who am I kidding? I think each baby book maybe has two pages filled out!

I had both kiddos in two years, there was no way I was remembering to bring out the baby book and record all those moments. However, I did keep up with placing adorable keepsakes in one box. There was no pressure to have the perfect pen, pretty writing, or have everything arranged in just the right way. I just threw it in there for safe keeping. Therefore, the boxes are what my children will cherish over their incomplete baby books.

What I do wish I had done was embrace the Baby Box sooner!

I actually put together a Baby Box for each kiddo right after their baptism. I used a cute little box for their baptismal items and started to collect other items in that box. Both boxes are gift boxes we received. One is strong and will hold up and the other may need to be replaced. They are larger than a shoe box, but if you have a large, sturdy boot box, that would work great!

If I had been smart from the beginning and understood how much easier it was to keep a Baby Box instead of a Baby Book, I could have preserved a lot more memories.

As it is, the Baby Box solution collected a lot more memories than our baby books ever did.

Baby Box alternative to a Baby Book

Give a Baby Box Gift!

As a Mom who knows how busy things can get with a new baby, a Baby Box is a great gift to give a new mom. We also know that with a second baby, that baby book tends to be even more empty. So, a Baby Box with a couple sweet items is the perfect gift for any new baby.

Find a box that is big enough to hold a number of items. It can be a wooden box or even a plastic box with an airtight lid. This box with magnetic closure would be fantastic! Give it a little personal touch with some decoration and maybe the baby’s name and birth date.

Any mom would love the gift of an easy way to preserve these precious memories!
