Baby Shower Gift Ideas - Our favorite baby items showcased in a diaper caddy

Baby Gift Ideas – items we used most for our babies!

Diaper Caddy

First thing that brings this whole gift together is this adorable diaper caddy. It’s a simple grey felt, and it’s perfect for displaying all of the baby items to make this gift look so cute!

Not only is a diaper caddy a great way to display your gift, but it’s also a very handy gift for new parents.

Perfect for organizing all the essential baby items at the changing table, or at a changing station in another room of the house. This caddy would also be great for an emergency stash in the car because it travels so well with the nice, strong handles.

Two of the items in this gift also came with the Putska diaper caddy. The adorable matching bandana bibs and pacifier clips.

Baby Gift Ideas and our baby must-haves - IKEA bowls, plates, and cups

Our favorite plates, cups, and bowls

These are our favorite kids’ plates, cups, and bowls! They are from IKEA and they are so inexpensive that we’ve bought so many over the years.

These are just the perfect size. The bowls are a great size for little ones and the plates have nice, tall sides to help the food stay put.

There are something like $2 a piece at IKEA. If you don’t have one close, there are some you can buy on Amazon and they’re still pretty reasonable.

Baby Ear Protection

This is an item that most parents won’t think about when registering, but will probably come across a time when one will be needed.

We had a pair when our kiddos were little and used them often for loud events and rides on the lawnmower with Grandpa.

If you’re shopping for a couple who enjoys sporting events, baby ear protection earmuffs are a very thoughtful gift.

Baby Gift Ideas - baby ear protection and baby blanket

Baby Blanket

You can’t go wrong with throwing in a baby blanket. They are always needed and are often getting washed.

We love these fun printed receiving blankets that come in a handy little pouches. We gave the jungle print in a gender-neutral gift and are saving this gorgeous and fun prince and princess print for the next baby shower.

A blanket in a pouch means parents can bring it everywhere and always have an extra. Even past the baby stage, this is great for outings with toddlers and older children.

Mabel’s Labels

Parents will love these! It shows such a personal touch, and they will find so many uses for the.

These labels are washable on clothing and items in the dishwasher, and are perfect for daycare and school.

We have always used the mini labels the most for our own kids. We get them with our last name so we can use them for both children and both children can use the items we place them on. For snack containers, this makes everything much easier. We’v also always used them on extra clothing at the beginning of the year and winter clothes.

Baby Gift Ideas – labels parents will love

Gerber Burp Cloths

We’ve always loved Gerber burp cloths for our kiddos. We still use them for runny noses now that they’re older.

Some burp cloths out there are so thin and cheap feeling.

Gerber burp cloths are our favorite because they are so soft against baby’s skin. They are also thick enough to not leak through, but not so thick that they are cumbersome and awkward.

Baby Gift Ideas - Maty's natural vabor rub, Gerber burp cloths, bandana bib, IKEA kids dishes

A couple other Baby Gift Ideas

Maty’s All Natural Vapor Rub. We were introduced to Maty’s through Moms Meet and love their products! We especially love the Vapor Rub and cough medicine.

Crochet Baby Sandals. These are something we had for our own little girl. They aren’t practical at all, but they’re so stinkin’ cute! Something like crochet baby sandals are a perfect special touch new parents will cherish.

Parent’s Choice Diapers, Wipes, and Bottles. Every parents tries to research and register for only the best for their kiddos. However, as money gets tight and babies require more than we have, we look toward the most economical option. It’s nice to give new parents some tips on what you used to save money. We still use the Parent’s Choice Wipes, and the nighttime diapers were lifesavers!

DIY Growth Chart. This is so easy, and there is no parent who can resist keeping memories as their child grows. We have a tutorial to make your own DIY Growth Chart – anyone can do it!
