Kristen is a mom of two young girls who just graduated from the two under two club. I remember those days well!

We first connected on Twitter with our mutual obsession with all things Disney. She is one of my favorite people on social media and I’m so excited to share this wonderful mom’s tips and tricks!

Tell us about your family:

I became a wife in 2016 and a mom for the first time in 2017. After my daughter was born I became a stay at home mom. Now I am a mother of two girls and I’m actually a recent graduate of the 2 under 2 club.

As a mom, what is the best part of your day?

I love when we are all home together. This usually occurs right around dinner time. Dinner time is going to be big in our house, I plan on having us all sit down every night and talk about our days. We do it now but I can’t wait for my girls to talk about their days in school with us when they are older.

3 Words that describe your parenting style?

Structured but fun! I like to set boundaries and have schedules but I also love to be goofy and silly.

What is a parenting rule you never break?

Thus far I’ve been very strict with having the kids sleep in their own beds (cribs). I’m hoping this will stick as they get older.

What is a parenting rule you always break?

Sweets before dinner (or in between meals) I love cookies and candy and ice cream and I can already tell I’ve passed this on to my toddler. She asks, and more than likely I’ll say yes.

How do you prioritize family-time and me-time?

This is something I’m still trying to figure out. As it stands I really only get full on “me-time” on the days when I’m lucky enough to have my girl’s naptimes overlap. Those are the days where I feel like I’ve got it figured out because that silence in the middle of the day really allows me to recharge my batteries, think for myself and either watch a show or complete a task off of my to do list. Days when I feel like I can’t catch a break are the days when someone is awake at every hour of the day.

What is your go-to, easy weeknight meal?

I love stuffed peppers! Requires little prep and few ingredients. Simply brown ground beef or ground turkey and once it is brown stir in a can of your favorite beans (I use black or kidney), cooked rice (I use a 90 second microwaveable “Spanish Style” rice bag) and about a cup of tomato sauce. Once it is mixed well, scoop it into bell peppers, stand them up in a pan and toss them in the oven!

What is your favorite family activity?

Right now we are loving going to the park so my toddler can run around and swing on the swings.

What advice would you give new moms?

Even the ones who look like they have it completely figured out, don’t. It’ll be really easy to play the comparison game but it is important to remember that no one fully has it all together.

What is your best Mom money-saving tip?

Plan ahead! I am notorious for purchasing holiday and birthday gifts months in advance because I found an item on sale. I STILL have items to incorporate into gifts from when Toys R US went out of business. Just don’t forget where you hid your items!

Do you have any tips for staying on top of household chores?

Have a rotating schedule. Don’t clean the entire house every day. Set a bathroom day, a laundry day (or two), a kitchen day and any other kind of day to break the work load up.

Family Travel: What is your favorite spot or family travel memory?

I love, love, love Disney World. I’ve easily been there 12 or 13 times by now and it never gets old, it never feels repetitive and I cannot wait to share the magic with my girls!

Do you have a can’t-live-without Mom/family products to share?

I love my Graco front to back double stroller. I can’t imagine having a side by side stroller. I wouldn’t be able to get through half of the doors I can get through if I had a side by side.
